The title asks all we need to know. Want to repurpose lego kits? well the people over at rebrickable have you covered. what really grabbed my attention was of course their Lord of the rings rebricked Tree Ent out of the Bonsai tree kit. Check out the video below and check out Rebrickable.com

Built as a posable display model, the shepherd of trees is ready to carry Merry and Pippin (minifigures not part of build) high in his branches as they march toward Isengard. Featuring strong, fixed legs for stability, articulated arms, head and hips, and lush green foliage, this model tries to capture the magic and mystery of Tolkien’s world.

A purchase includes detailed step by step instructions as a pdf file. You will only need LEGO 10281 Bonsai Tree to complete this model. One of the spare parts of the set is needed (13564 horn in reddish brown).

Features of the build:

  • Build a display model of Treebeard the Ent with articulated arms, hips and head and including some intricate, more fragile elements
  • Includes display base with forest floor details and small trees
  • Dimensions of the completed model: 18.2 x 27.1 x 27.2 cm / 7.2 x 10.7 x 10.7 in
  • Uses 588 pieces
  • Can be combined with Merry and Pippin minifigures from 10316 Rivendell (minifigures not part of the build)
