Night City is getting a new story. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 arrives on Netflix on October 20 with 10 episodes from Studio Trigger and CD Projekt Red. It is not a direct continuation of David and Lucy, so here is what we know about the new crew, the creative team, and the music.
A New Story in Night City
After the original 2022 series, CD Projekt Red said a sequel would be “something completely different” rather than a direct follow-up. The studio confirmed this standalone project in July 2025.
The new series follows Roman Carax, who is documenting Night City, alongside a fresh set of edgerunners and gang members.

Creative Team and Music
Kai Ikarashi directs at Studio Trigger, with Bartosz Sztybor writing alongside Masahiko Otsuka. Sztybor picked Ikarashi after admiring his work on the sixth episode of the original series. Saya Elder is executive producer.
The team drew on 1990s cinema, with character designs inspired by 90s comics. The opening theme is “10:15 Saturday Night” by The Cure, and the ending is “Watson” by Petite Meller.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is a bet on a fresh cast in a familiar city, with the same studio energy that made the original a hit. All 10 episodes arrive on Netflix on October 20, so mark your calendar.
