In honor of Academic Book Week, I'm Jesscia Carvin, and I'm here to celebrate a book fair that has the power to change the world we live in, reaching out beyond the academic community to qualify the rigor of evidence-based research to some of our most challenging questions about how we function as a society. Books are becoming more difficult to describe as we chop and chunk writing, juggle multiple digital forms, and encourage communication through various social media platforms, yet the value of the knowledge contained within them remains constant.
